A Guide for Retired IAF Personnel by AFRO

In light of the implementation of the recommendations of the 6th CPC, the Air Force Records Office (AFRO) has brought out a  booklet which provides basic information about benefits available to released / discharged / retired Air Force personnel.
Though the guide is not technically perfect at places, it definitely provides a good insight into various entitlements.
Besides pensionary and other retirement benefits after the 6th CPC, the said handbook contains information on ECHS, Placement nodes and other welfare related subjects. It also serves as a guide for filling up of pension related forms.
An e-version of the handbook can be accessed and downloaded by clicking here.

    Sir,
I am looking for my friend, Mr.Alangiam Paulraj Kalaichelvan. We were separated some five years ago following my hospitalization form a severe accident. He was retired from IAF and later joined Decaan Airlines before doing his stint in Kingfisher Airlines. He was in Bangalore as on 16 July 2010, the day his two sons, Karthik and Prathik, were killed in a plane crash in USA. I would love to locate him for reunion. Please assist me.

  2. sir,
as we all know that airforce issues a diploma in engineering certificate after retirement to the airman who are working in the technical field. I request dat it ll be better if its title is "DEGREE IN ENGINEERING ".although there is a line in dat certificate that it is equivalent certificate in engineering but still in civil
everone treated it as a diploma. so I again request to change it's title. it ll more beneficial if it is degree in engineering.
